Bihar will Sound Conch of NDA Victory: Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra today as Bihar prepares for the upcoming Assembly elections.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed confidence that the BJP-NDA will register a comprehensive victory in the poll-bound state.

“My family members in Bihar are in the electoral fray to ensure a resounding victory for the BJP-NDA. In this atmosphere of enthusiasm, I will get a chance to dialogue with the people tomorrow morning at around 11 am in Muzaffarpur and in the afternoon at 12.45 pm in Chhapra. I am confident that my brothers in the state will once again ring the bells of great victory in the Assembly elections,” the Chief Minister said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held the joint rally of Mahagathbandhan in Muzaffarpur, where he triggered a political controversy claiming that Prime Minister Modi will “do anything for votes”.

Addressing an election rally, Gandhi repeated allegations of “vote theft”, accusing Prime Minister Modi of trying to steal votes in the Bihar elections. The Congress leader said: “He (Prime Minister Modi) just wants your vote. If you ask him to do a drama for votes, he will do it. You can make him do anything. If you ask Narendra Modi to dance, he will dance.”

“They are busy stealing your votes. Because they want to end this election disease, I tell you, they stole elections in Maharashtra, they stole elections in Haryana and they will do whatever they can in Bihar,” he added.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Amit Shah took forward the NDA’s campaign in Bihar and held rallies in Begusarai, Samastipur and Darbhanga on Wednesday.

The 2025 Bihar election is the main contest between the National Democratic Alliance and Mahagathbandhan.

The NDA includes the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal-led Mahagathbandhan includes the Congress Party, Dipankar Bhattacharya-led Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (CPI-ML), Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) and Mukesh Sahani’s Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).

Moreover, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj has claimed all 243 seats in the state. Parliamentary elections will be held in two stages on November 6 and 11, and the results will be announced on November 14.
