The tender family moment captured just minutes before Brit father, 28, died in jetski crash in front of his loving partner and baby in Dubai

Devastating footage shows the moment a father held his newborn baby on a yacht just five minutes before he died in a jet ski crash in front of his partner.
Ali Watson, 28, was enjoying a boat trip with her girlfriend Charlotte Lescott and their newborn daughter Soulie in Dubai, where the British family moved weeks ago for a ‘better life’.
A few minutes later Ali, from Coventry, hopped on a jet ski, followed by another jet ski that started to speed away. During the investigation held yesterday, it was learned that an instructor carrying a female passenger died at the scene after colliding with her.
In another tragic turn of events, Charlotte discovered that Ali had canceled his life insurance policy and was unable to collect the items they sent to Dubai because they were in his name.
In emotional footage released by the mother, the young father can be seen cradling his baby alongside his beloved partner on the yacht just minutes before the collision.
Ali leans his daughter towards him and kisses her on the cheek while placing his little hands on her chest.
Charlotte captioned the video: ‘They don’t know it yet but in five minutes he’ll get on the jet ski and a terrible accident will claim his life.’
The mother, who expressed her partner’s death on social media, said that the family was having a “normal day” when the tragedy occurred on December 6, 2020.
‘It was like an ordinary day. We woke up and went to the shopping mall. “We got on the jet ski, put him in his life jacket and I said ‘stay safe, I love you’ and that was the last time I spoke to him,” she said.

‘I watched the accident happen; I’ve seen it all. ‘I let out a terrible scream.’
After learning her life insurance policies had been cancelled, Charlotte said: ‘You need to be aware of everything financially around the house. ‘I can’t tolerate anything anymore, don’t leave it to your partner.’
Ali was working as a marketing manager in the UAE and It operated a boat tour in December 2020, having moved from the UK in September that year.
The inquest at Exeter Coroner’s Court heard yesterday that the father was riding a jet ski when the second jet ski collided with him.
The second jet ski was driven at a high speed by an instructor with a female passenger on board.
The coroner was told the passenger, a lifeguard, jumped from the water craft just before the collision because he was afraid of the speed.
Ali was thrown into the air and fell face down into the water. He died at the scene as a result of a hard blow to his chest.
His stepfather John Watson said Ali was a “lovable character” who set up his own business in Dubai in 2020.
He had previous experience using jet skis and the ones used that day had been rented by the boat tour organisers.
The investigation heard that those responsible for the accident were given suspended prison sentences and fines.
The couple moved from England to the United Arab Emirates weeks ago

Devon deputy coroner Luisa Nicholson said Ali died as a result of an accident.
Charlotte’s last heartbreaking words to her husband were, ‘Take care, I love you.’
The mum, a content creator from Birmingham, said: ‘We went on the boat with a group of friends.
‘He was in the water on his jetski and the instructor collided with him.
‘I was holding the baby on the boat and witnessed this.
‘The last thing I said was ‘stay safe, I love you’.
‘The moment Ali died, my world stopped turning. I couldn’t work. The world around you is still going on.’
Charlotte and Ali met on Depop in 2018 when he messaged her after buying sneakers from her.
The couple agreed and started living together three months later.
It was December 2019 when they found out they were expecting a baby together. The couple was overjoyed and then Soulie arrived on July 29, 2020.
Due to restrictions in the UK, the family decided to try Dubai in September.
Charlotte said: ‘He wasn’t really happy in the UK. There was no quality of life. We decided to make a life there.
‘It was beautiful. We lived a better quality of life. We can take Soulie swimming. I felt like life was complete.’
But Charlotte’s world came crashing down just a few weeks later.
He said: ‘Even when I saw the accident I didn’t think the worst.
‘I thought your leg was broken. Death does not cross his mind.
‘I knew what you were going to say when you told my friend Char you needed to sit down. I felt like my whole world was collapsing.
‘I remember screaming at the top of my lungs.’
He said he had a hard time moving on with Soulie when he learned his life insurance policies were inactive.
The couple were delighted when they learned Charlotte was pregnant
Now he raises awareness to make others financially aware and to keep Ali’s memory alive.
He said: ‘It had been cancelled. We had too many items in one shipment. Lots of Soulie’s clothes and bed frame.
‘I couldn’t get it to be given to me because it was in Ali’s name.
‘Me and my baby literally had nothing. Life stops when you lose someone unexpectedly. You still have to pay rent, mortgage, and bills.
‘They don’t stop, but you did.’
Now Charlotte is in a better place and has an open conversation with Soulie about her father.
He said: ‘If I didn’t have it I’d be lost. Since he was a newborn, I had to continue. Soulie is very aware of his father. He dreams about her. He has eyes. It is very fragile, sensitive and very gentle.
‘She is such a ray of sunshine. I want to protect him at all costs.’
Charlotte had family and friends to support her when she returned to the UK, but she was sometimes embarrassed to ask for help.
He said: ‘I was embarrassed to ask my family. ‘Can you help me financially?’ I didn’t mean to. You don’t want to think about paying the bills.
‘I didn’t take control of my finances.’
Charlotte now wants to make sure others don’t rely on their partners financially and have life insurance like Mumsurance.
He said: ‘Be aware of this for yourselves. Just don’t trust him.’
