The UK broadband providers that attracted the most complaints

EE, TalkTalk and Vodafone have been named as the UK’s most complained about broadband providers, according to the latest figures from communications watchdog Ofcom.
Data covering the quarter between July and September 2025 showed that the overall number of complaints remained stable compared to the previous period.
However, broadband complaints were particularly concentrated on TalkTalk and Vodafone, which increased, with EE maintaining similar levels. Each of these providers recorded 10 complaints per 100,000 customers.
By contrast, BT-owned Plusnet had the fewest broadband complaints. TalkTalk was also the most complained about landline provider, with a quarter-on-quarter increase in complaints.
Utility Warehouse caused the fewest landline complaints.
Meanwhile, O2, Sky Mobile and Three were the mobile providers with the most complaints this quarter.

O2 and Sky Mobile customers mostly complained about how their complaints were handled; The three customer complaints were mostly related to malfunctions, services and connectivity issues.
The report showed that EE, Tesco Mobile, Vodafone and iD Mobile generated the fewest complaints for pay monthly mobile devices.
On TV, EE received the most complaints for the pay TV provider, while Sky and TalkTalk received the fewest.
Ofcom regularly publishes these reports to provide transparency into consumer experiences across the UK’s main communications providers.
Uswitch Broadband and mobile expert Ernest Doku said: “The Tracker compiles and publishes the figures to help consumers see how their provider is performing relative to others and choose a new provider if they are considering switching.
“Patience with poor service is waning. While it is positive to see overall complaint volumes across broadband, mobile and pay TV remaining stable, the lack of improvement across the sector is a concern for households facing rising bills.”
“Plusnet has once again set the standard for broadband and received the fewest complaints, reflecting its win for Best Broadband Provider for Customer Service at the Uswitch 2026 Telecom Awards.
“In contrast, TalkTalk and Vodafone saw complaints increase this quarter, while EE remains among the most complained about providers.
“With annual price increases approaching in April, customers will be looking closely at whether their provider justifies these extra costs. If your service doesn’t, there’s no need to compromise; now is the time to compare deals and see if there’s a provider that offers better value for money.”
