Reading tales to kittens the purfect way to lift literacy
He said that parents reported that their children were more easily reading to animals, and that the experience has made a positive connection to reading even if some sessions are more than reading about playing with cats.
“The main issue is that they want them to be positive about reading, and this is something that leads them there, then it’s great,” he said.

Among the popular titles, Dr Seuss’s Classic Cat with HatDav Pilkey’s Popular Books Dog man Lynley Dodd’s series and books – especially those who contain a fascinating but cheeky black cat named Slinky Malinki.
Lort Smith Adoption Center Manager Mandy Doolan, some children brought their favorite book from the house, others are shy, but soon borrowed with a book he warmed, he said.
“If they are not great readers, or they choose a book that they don’t trust themselves, sometimes I tell them, ‘just voice or talk about what is on the page’ and they make a difference when they realize that they can do it.
“It’s great because you see that children bloom, but you also see some cats that may be closed.

“A win for these kids and a win for cats.”
He said that watching the emergence of a cat’s personality helped the adoption process because the center could safely say that cats were comfortable with children. And the results are not always unpredictable.
“Sometimes the cats that you think may not be good with children are those who live in children’s tours,” he said.
Most of the children who come to 30 -minute sessions do not have pets at home, either because a family member is allergic or the household does not want the responsibility of looking at a pet.

Kumar said that his family is currently only pet. But he admits that this may change soon.
“They both really want a cat, and all the books they love are based on animals,” he said.
“I think this could be a little before you buy it.
