Eluru police arrest elusive criminal in POCSO Act cases

Eluru Three Towns police arrested Muvvala Venkateswara Rao, accused in POCSO Act cases and absconding for the last three years, on Wednesday night (November 27, 2025).
The accused Venkateswara Rao, a native of Polavaram village in Krishna district, was wanted in two cases registered with the Eluru Three Towns police in 2022. The team led by Eluru Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) D. Sravan Kumar traced the accused to Solapur in Maharashtra.
“The accused was trying to make a living by fishing in a village. Eluru district Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore said, “A non-bailable warrant (NBW) was awaited against Venkateswara Rao,” the SP said. “The police will produce the accused before the court on Thursday, November 27, 2025.”
