Today, in Britain, millions of people who can work are imprisoned instead of benefits. This is not compassion – failure.
Failure for taxpayers who shoulder a constantly growing invoice. But first of all, failure for those who remain behind – is written by a system that pays for people not to work too often instead of helping them to create a better life.
Since the election, more than one million people have signed a universal loan. Not about one million young education, employment or training.
Welfare expenditures for children and the benefits of working age will increase in this parliament £ 30 billion-a greater increase than the whole police budget.
This is not sustainable and not true. Conservatives believe that work is the best way to poverty – for individuals, families and our country.
Business gives people pride, purpose and independence. This is the moral situation to correct the welfare.
The last conservative government proved what it could be reached.
