These little robots are changing the way solar farms are built

Special renewable energy projects are still progressing despite the withdrawal with government support and the new technology makes this construction more efficient.
For example, solar farms receive meticulous planning and survey, contain long hours and require significant labor. Now, the robots start work.
Condot is a four -wheeled robot that can mark the placement of up to 3,000 in the place of 8 millimeters per day. The machine can pass over the rugged land and work in hard weather.
California -based brain child Civ Robotics.
“Our hidden sauce and core technology can actually mark the coordinates in a shorter time than a quarter of the quarter, in this irregular land, on open surfaces and deserts,” Tom Yeshurun, CEO of Civ Robotics. He said.
Manual review data are uploaded to the CIV software, then selects the field they want to mark the operator, and the presses go. The robot makes the rest, saves both time and money.
Yeshurun, “Manual survey equipment, if you use it in the field and if you have three crews, they will need three land research hand buyers. This alone is equal to how much we rent our machines in this field, and all labor savings is only another benefit.” He said.
Civ Robotics has more than 100 of these robots, which are first used by renewable energy companies in this field, but are also used in oil and gas. Currently, Bechtel Corporation is working on various solar projects.
“These were very high -paid field engineers to send there, and they can make 250 or 350 pile signs a day. We can do about 1250 a day with a bondot robot.” He said.
Brown said the company uses the company’s robot in Texas and Nevada’s deserts in thick and muddy land.
“And so you have to think about things like tires, or you may need to think about openness. Are you trying to overcome the existing brush and the like in the sun? So something we think. I think the other, you know, you need to think of battery swaps,” he added.
It is supported by Civ Robotics, AlleyCorp, FF Venture Capital, Bobcat Company, Newfund Capital, Trimble Ventures and Converge. To date, total VC financing is 12.5 million dollars.
There are other robotic solutions for signs, but competition mostly works on highways and football fields. Yeshurun, these competitors can not address the lands encountered as the solar industry expanded to the new regions.
