Thirteen killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, health ministry says

On April 30, the US embassy in Beirut suggested that a meeting between Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would give Lebanon “a chance to receive concrete guarantees of full sovereignty, territorial integrity, secure borders, humanitarian aid and reconstruction support, and the full restoration of Lebanese state authority over every inch of its territory.”
