Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie set for ‘deep pain’ with move | Royal | News

The royal commentator has claimed Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will go through an “extremely painful time” as their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, will likely “rot in public shame” following the latest bombshells. It hasn’t been an easy month for the York family; because every week new bombshells come to light about Andrew and Fergie’s links to the convicted pedophile.

Last Friday the scandal came to a head when Andrew announced his decision to relinquish the Dukedom and other titles and honors so that his personal affairs would not be “distracted” from the work of the King and the Royal Family. Despite the latest update, Beatrice and Eugenie’s position will not be affected and they will remain the princesses they deserved from the moment of their birth, just like their father.

Last month, shortly after an email emerged in which Fergie allegedly publicly disavowed Jeffrey Epstein and apologized for calling him her “supreme friend”, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that these comments would deeply hurt the York princesses for some reason.

he said Daily Mail: “This will be an extremely painful time for the sisters, as both of their parents will probably languish in public disgrace, and predictably so.

“The Yorks have always been a close-knit family. However, [Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s] proximity to their parents will likely mean that they will not be involved in new philanthropic projects for at least some time, possibly for a considerable period of time.”

Meanwhile, royal writer Katie Nicholl said: BBC last Saturday: “Their daughters are such unfortunate victims, they had to suffer in silence and were dignified in their silence.”

“It can’t be easy to see your parents dragged into something like this, and they’re still the King’s much-loved nephews. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them at Christmas events in the future. They’re largely untarnished.”

This comes alongside the release of excerpts from the posthumously published memoirs of Virginia Roberts Giufffre, who claims she was trafficked by Epstein and had sex with Andrew when she was 17.

Andrew resigned from public life in 2019 but denied wrongdoing.

“We think, with His Majesty’s approval, that I must now go one step further. Therefore, I will no longer use my title or the honors bestowed upon me,” he said in a statement on Friday.

“As I said before, I strongly deny the accusations against me.”

Giuffre died by suicide in April. In her memoir, she details her alleged encounters with Prince Andrew, whom she sued in 2021 when she was 17, claiming they had sex.

Andrew always denied her claims, and the two settled the case in 2022.
