Ashok says there is no compulsion to provide personal information under Social and Educational Survey in Karnataka
R. Ashok, the leader of the opposition in the Assembly, claimed that there is no obligation for people to provide personal information in the survey, which continues to reserve against the ongoing social and educational research of the state government.
Mr Ashok told Presspersons in Bengaluru on Sunday that people should only answer the questions that seem appropriate. He said people should be cautious about the survey.
“This is not a social and educational survey. This is the caste research to label people by Prime Minister Siddaramaiah.
The Congress claimed that the government used the survey for political purposes. “The upcoming state budget preparation has become a headache for the prime minister. There is no money in the Treasury and they cancel the ration cards. They need some evidence for this. This questionnaire is carried out for this reason and the abolition of beneficiaries from these warranty plans,” he said.
Meanwhile, by Vijayendra BJP State President, the party did not make any decision on the survey, he said. “In the religious column of the questionnaire, everyone should talk about Hindu. This is our collective responsibility. Veerashaiva-Lingayats, Vokkaligas, Dalit and Return Communities should talk about Hindu in the religious column without creating confusion,” he said.
