US President Donald Trump gives ‘approval’ to THIS Asian country to build nuclear-powered Submarine, says, ‘Our military alliance…’

US President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he has given THIS Asian country the “approval” to build a nuclear-powered Submarine. He said on Truth Social: ‘Our Military Alliance is stronger than ever.’
US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he gave South Korea “approval” for the construction of nuclear-powered submarines. This development comes after President Donald Trump met with his South Korean counterpart Lee Jae Myung during his visit to Gyeongju.
“Our Military Alliance is stronger than ever and based on that, I have given them the green light to build Nuclear Powered Submarines instead of the outdated and far less agile diesel powered Submarines they currently have,” Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social. he said.
In a post later published on social media, the president announced that the submarine would be built in the United States, specifically at the “Philadelphia Shipyards.”
“South Korea will build its Nuclear Powered Submarine at the Philadelphia Shipyards, right here in the old USA, Shipbuilding in our Country will soon be making a MAJOR comeback,” Trump said.
According to CNN, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung had previously stated that he would make efforts to obtain approval from the United States to obtain fuel for the nuclear-powered submarines that South Korea wants to build to keep up with North Korean and Chinese submarines.
“If the President makes a decision that would allow us to purchase fuel for nuclear-powered submarines, we would welcome it,” Lee said in a statement ahead of his bilateral meeting with Trump on Wednesday. he said.
This is a big step, considering North Korea showed off its under-construction nuclear-powered submarine earlier this year, CNN reported.
Trump also stated that South Korea agreed to pay $350 billion to reduce the customs duties imposed on them by the United States.
“They agreed to purchase our Oil and Gas in large quantities, and the investments of rich South Korean Companies and Businessmen in our Country will exceed 600 Billion Dollars,” he said.
Earlier, Kim Yong-beom, the South Korean president’s chief of staff for policy, told reporters in Gyeongju that South Korea had agreed on the details of a trade deal with the United States.
An agreement on the grand framework of the trade deal in July had reduced bilateral tariffs to 15 percent, but South Korean auto exports were still subject to a 25 percent tariff, and details of the deal were not finalized until Trump met with Lee on the sidelines of APEC.
According to CNN, he said that $200 billion of the $350 billion investment that Trump previously requested would be paid in cash and $150 billion would be paid through shipbuilding cooperation led by South Korean companies.
Kim said that the investment of 200 billion dollars will be made over many years, and the annual investment will be limited to 20 billion dollars, depending on the progress of the work.
He added that such a limit would make it manageable for South Korea’s foreign exchange market, which was Seoul’s biggest concern when it initially asked for $350 billion in cash payments.
