Alabama teen rescues 9-year-old from vicious dog attack in Cullman County

An Alabama teenager saved a 9-year-old girl who was mauled by a dog in Cullman County on Nov. 7.
Delyla McCay was saved by a teenager who ran to help when a blue high-heeled shoe clung to her face and wouldn’t let go.
Delyla was sitting on the front steps of the apartment building with her 13-year-old sister, McKenzie. That’s when the dog attacked the 9-year-old boy and clamped his face shut.
“Mom, she grabbed my face and was shaking,” Delyla told her mother, Katie McCay. According to WBRC.

According to the news, the girl’s mother said, “I have never dealt with something like this in my life and I would not wish this on anyone.” “And he’s the sweetest kid in the world. Everyone who knows my kid is like, ‘What was he doing to the dog? Was he provoked?’ There are many people who ask. My child was sitting there. He’s so sweet.”
Delyla’s sister screamed in terror as the dog put the child’s face in its vice grip.
A nearby teenager ran up and punched the dog until it let go. The teenager was also bitten in the process, McCay said.
