ISKCON mandir in Vijayawada organized Jagannath Rath Yatra on a grand scale with the participation of thousands of devotees.
Devotees from across the country participated in the Rath Yatra. A car was decorated with colorful flowers. The city took on a festive look as devotees sang devotional songs.
The Rath Yatra started from Sitara Grounds in Bhavanipuram and reached Gundicha Mandir established near Seethamma Vaari Padalu near Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvaarla Devastanam.
Devotees offered fruits and flowers to Lord Jagannath, received ‘teerdha prasadam’ and blessings as the chariot passed through the streets.
Devotees showered flowers and conducted cultural programs along the way. The streets were filled with ‘Jai Jagannath’ slogans.
ISKCON temple, Vijayawada, president Chakradhari Das distributed Maha Prasadam to devotees. Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad and others also attended the programme.
