Thousands sign petition to expose MoD Chinook disaster ‘cover-up’ | UK | News

Tens of thousands of people signed a petition that demanded answers around the Chinook disaster for more than 30 years ago, claiming that they had lived 29.
A total of 25 senior intelligence experts and four special force teams were killed when a Raf Chinook ZD576 helicopter fell to Kintyre Mull in Western Scotland.
The aircraft was on the road to Fort George from Raf Aldergrove in Northern Ireland in June 1994 near Inverness. Initially, this decision was accused of the pilot error in 2011 before it was overthrown.
The BBC, who investigated the tragedy, published a documentary called Chinook: Zulu Delta 576 last year, which has been sealed by the Ministry of Defense (MOD) for 100 years.
The families of the victims remained miserable after the accident, and since then, he continued to blame a ‘cover -up’ mode on the issue of the publication of all documents and a public investigation led by Judge.
They demanded that the United Kingdom of Kingdom brought a legal ‘sincerity task’ to all public institutions for “no family should not fight the truth again”.
“Twenty -nine people boarded Chinook ZD576, Sll died,” the petition signed by more than 25,000 people says. “31 years later, we – families – we still have no answers. Real, transparency and justice was rejected by the Ministry of Defense (MOD).
“Our loved ones had to ride a shelf helicopter with fatal software defects ‘positive dangerous’ of mode test engineers and ‘in no way trusted’.
“We know that the basic evidence has been stored or ignored in the previous investigations. Former ministers say that they have been misleaded by the mode and that the problems of flight are properly investigated.”
This month, the BBC decided to make a documentary welcomed by families, and the first episode was published on Sunday, August 17 at 9 am and a second week later.
The relatives created the Chinook justice campaign and continued to demand transparency from mode.
Esme Sparks, who lost his father Major Gary Sparks in the incident, encouraged more support for the petition to prevent similar cases of “privacy and injustice” in the future.
In a statement, the spokesperson of Mod replied: “The Mull was a tragic accident of the Kintyre accident, and our thoughts and sympathies remain with their families, friends and colleagues.
“The accident has been the subject of six investigations and investigations, including the investigation under the leadership of an independent judge.
