Three American troops are killed in Trump’s Iran war

Three US soldiers have been killed in Iran as part of President Donald Trump’s war against Iran.
U.S. Central Command announced the deaths Sunday morning, just a day after Trump ordered a series of deadly strikes targeting Iran’s leadership.
US Central Command wrote to X: ‘Others suffered minor shrapnel injuries and concussion and are in the process of returning to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response efforts continue.’
‘The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will retain additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified.’
Following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Tehran responded by launching a barrage of attacks on US military bases in the Middle East.
Iran raised the so-called ‘Red Flag of Revenge’ this morning and vowed to strike the US and Israel with ‘never seen force’.
Trump addressed the American people on camera from his Mar-a-Lago mansion shortly after the military strikes began Saturday morning.
Warning that US soldiers may lose their lives during the operation, the President said, “We may also have casualties.”
A US official told media outlets that the war with Iran is now expected to last weeks, but Trump did not offer a clear timeline.

Following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Tehran responded by launching a barrage of attacks on US military bases in the Middle East.
The Daily Mail has reached out to the White House for comment.
Trump’s previous military strikes against Iran were brief operations designed to avoid dragging the United States into a protracted regime change war with Tehran.
But Saturday’s attack marked the first time Trump has unleashed American firepower on the Middle East in an attempt to overthrow a country’s government.
While carrying out drone attacks in the Middle East today, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed that they attacked a US aircraft carrier to avenge the killing of the country’s Supreme Leader.
State media published a statement claiming that the USS Abraham Lincoln was attacked with ‘four ballistic missiles’. The Pentagon later denied that Lincoln had been shot down, but said missiles had been fired and it was ‘not even close’.
Iran also retaliated by launching a series of attacks on neighboring Gulf states; Explosions were heard in Qatar, Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Trump vowed to hit Iran “with unprecedented force” after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Sunday morning that they had attacked nearly 30 US military bases in the Middle East.
According to the news of Israeli state television, it was revealed today that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was also killed in air strikes.
Black smoke was seen rising from the US air base at Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq at sunrise, after the IRGC promised its most violent counter-attack.
It is unclear how many civilians were killed in Iran’s revenge attacks
Israel announced early Sunday that it had launched a new ‘wave of attacks’ targeting Iran’s ballistic missiles and air defense systems, after Iran launched drones and missiles at Tel Aviv.
In response, the Revolutionary Guard said it had carried out a “sixth wave” of “comprehensive missile and drone” attacks on 27 US military bases. The extent of the damage is not yet clear.
Iran officially confirmed that Khamenei was killed in his home office. “We belong to Allah and we will return to Him,” he said, an Iranian news agency reported.
Two senior military leaders – Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani and Revolutionary Guard Commander Major General Mohammed Pakpour – and four members of Khamenei’s immediate family were also wiped out in Tehran attacks on Saturday morning.
