Three injured as cut outs collapses ahead of house distribution ceremony in Hubballi

Three people, including a woman, miraculously escaped with some injuries after sewn embrace cuts collapsed on them at the mega home distribution event on Mantur Road in Hubballi on Saturday morning, January 24, 2026.
The accident took place before the start of the event, which was attended by Chief Minister Siddarmaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and a host of Ministers. It was reported that the cause of the collapse of large blackouts was the bold wind.
The injured were immediately taken to hospital and treated. Commissioner of Police N. Shashikumar, Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed visited the area followed by Mr. Shashikumar and District Health Officer Dr. Satish Honakeri visited KMCRI Hospital to inquire about the health conditions of the injured.
Dr. Honakeri gave the names of the injured as Manjunath, Shantha and Shankar. While two of the injured were taken to a private hospital, the treatment of one continues at KMCRI. All the injured are in danger. The injured woman, Shantha Kyaratti, came to participate in the program, while the other two are workers.
