Three youths arrested under POCSO Act in Kannur

Kannur town police arrested three young people responsible for raping a little girl in Thazhae Chovva in the city.

Arrested young people – VV Sanggeeth, K. Abhishek Vaidyar and P. Akash – were produced and arrested in court.

They were arrested under the protection of children’s complaints under the protection of sexual crimes (POCSO). The alleged event took place six months ago.

According to the complaint, the young people took the girl to a hut and forced to consume a non -alcoholic beverage tied with sleep pills and sexually abused.

The case was investigated by Edakkad police who delivered it to the town police because it was within the boundaries of the latter allegedly.
