Thunderstorm weather warning issued across London and south of England by Met Office

A yellow air warning was given in London, South East and South West of the country.

Met Office released a yellow storm warning from 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday in the evening and warned that heavy shower will be interrupted.

Estimated, Thunderstomrs and heavy showers are expected to develop on Thursday morning and in the afternoon.

The Met Office said that several areas would see “severe torrential rainfall ,, and that it was 60 mm potentially in one hour and 25-35 mm rain and two hours. It will bring frequent lighting and full dangers.

“Storms will tend to be more limited in the south and east of the warning area before the evening before they die,” he said.

Warnings include large districts and cities such as London, Suffolk, Brighton, Kent, Oxfordshire, Bristol, Portsmouth and Southampton.

MET office, flash flood risks to people living in areas, to minimize potential damage to “a flood plan and an emergency flood kit” is recommended to consider preparing ”is recommended.

Strong winds can also pose a danger, and the inhabitants have been told to secure temporary structures, including moving objects and garbage boxes, trampolines, tents and garden furniture before strong conditions arrived.
