Tiger Woods had opioids, police DUI crash arrest affidavit says

Two opioid pills were found by police in golf legend Tiger Woods’ pants pocket after he took a tumble in Florida last week, according to an arrest affidavit released Tuesday.

Woods also had “bloodshot and glassy eyes,” “extremely dilated pupils” and was “sweating profusely” when a sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene of the two-car crash in Jupiter Friday afternoon, according to a Martin County Sheriff’s Office affidavit.

“Wood’s movement was lethargic and slow,” the deputy wrote in his affidavit.

“I asked Woods if he had any alcoholic beverages today and he said ‘no’,” the deputy said. he wrote.

“I asked Woods if he had consumed any prescription drugs and he said, ‘I’m taking a few,'” the deputy said. he wrote.

During the search, police found “two white pills” in the golfer’s left pants pocket, according to the affidavit. Identifying marks indicated the pills were hydrocodone, an opioid medication.

Woods was subjected to a breath test, which found no alcohol in his system. However, he refused to take a urine test, according to police.

Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, criminal damage to property and refusing to submit to a urine test.
