TikTok star Turan William Salis pleads guilty to charges stemming from threat to decapitate mum on livestream
A TikTok star with thousands of followers has pleaded guilty to threatening to behead his mother in a livestream video.
Turan William Salis appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to a charge of making threats to kill under aggravating circumstances.
The court was told Salis, who goes by the handle @TuranSpidey on the social media platform, filmed himself at Elizabeth Quay in Perth and said he wanted to go home and beat, stab and behead his mother on July 14 because he was angry at her.
Friends and family saw the video and sent it to his mother, who notified the police.
When the content creator was arrested, he admitted to the police that he made the threats.
Salis has nearly 70,000 followers on TikTok and her videos receive hundreds of thousands of likes.
He will be sentenced on October 27.
