Tkachuk brothers reunite as Panthers reportedly land Brady from Senators

The Tkachuk brothers won gold with Team USA, and it looks like they’ll be chasing the Stanley Cup together after a blockbuster trade on Father’s Day.
According to multiple reports, the Ottawa Senators are reportedly close to trading Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers, where his brother Matthew is starring.
The Panthers’ package for Brady reportedly includes their first-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, as well as a 2029 first-round pick and a 2030 second-round pick.

Brady, 26, was a trade candidate this offseason because he had two years remaining on his seven-year, $57.5 million contract with the Senators. He scored 59 points (29 goals) last season, helping the Senators return to the playoffs.
The Senators also lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round in 2025.

Unfortunately, Ottawa fell to the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes; This was one of the teams he wanted to trade with.
The Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild are reportedly on the list of teams Brady might want to join. per TSN.

The Senators named Brady their team captain ahead of the 2021-22 season; It’s also the year Brady signed his contract.
Now Brady will look to bring to the Panthers the chemistry he has with his brother and the leadership and physical play he showed at the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina earlier this year.
Brady played a pivotal role in helping Team USA win the gold medal in historic fashion against Team Canada during the Winter Olympics. He collected three goals and five total points throughout the tournament.

The Panthers got a major upgrade to their roster after a year in which they went 40-38-4 and missed the playoffs. Florida had won the Stanley Cup in back-to-back seasons before last season, and the Panthers’ front office clearly wants to take the lead in the postseason as well.
Getting Brady to team up not only with Matthew but the rest of Sunrise’s talented roster will be a hot start to the offseason.
