Acting U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche on Friday said a man who made death threats against a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer and his family during a protest in New Jersey on Thursday night has been arrested.

The arrest came just hours after Blanche promised that the videotaped protester would be found and arrested.

“This is a federal crime,” Blanche said on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show” on Thursday. “Think of how disgusting it is that he not only threatened the IYM officer, but also threatened to kill this person’s wife and children.

In the video, the protester can be heard taunting the officer: “I’m going to kill your whole family. Your whole family is dead. Your kids and your wife are all dead. You have your face, mom—er! They’re all dead!”

About 100 protesters filled the area around the detention center, chanting “F— ICE” and waving black umbrellas, gas masks and other supplies to protect themselves from pepper spray and various counter-riot measures.

On Wednesday evening, DHS reported that approximately 100 anti-ICE protesters gathered around the Delaney Hall ICE facility. As rioters attacked law enforcement and threw objects, DHS said “local police refused to assist our officers.” Six rioters were arrested Wednesday night for allegedly attacking law enforcement.

“We’ve called local police, we’ve called state police over and over again. Listen, I know law enforcement there would be happy to respond, but because of Governor Sherrill’s behavior, what the governor is doing is not allowing public officials and state officials to respond,” Mullin said during an appearance on Fox & Friends Thursday morning.
