Toddler pulled loaded gun on officer, man facing charges

(NewsNation) — St. A man in St. Paul, Minnesota, is facing endangerment of a child for access to a firearm and carrying a handgun without a permit after a child under the age of 3 pulled a gun from a diaper bag.

During a traffic stop, the toddler, one of three children under the age of 3, pulled a gun from his diaper bag and turned toward police. CBS News.

Police allegedly persuaded the boy to drop the gun after pulling the man over on May 11 for not wearing a seatbelt.

Allegedly, while there was no ammunition in the chamber of the gun, there were 6 bullets in its magazine.

The man, who has not yet been identified, told police that the gun was for protection after receiving death threats. He explained that the gun was put in his diaper bag because he was pulled over.

His bail was set at $5,000, according to the report.
