Tomblaine plane crash LIVE: Aircraft crashes near Nancy as police urge ‘avoid area’ | World | News

A frightening plane crash shook a town in northeastern France on Sunday morning. Emergency services rushed to Tomblaine, near Nancy, on June 28 and cordoned off a large area on Rue Salvador Allende, near the Auchan supermarket.
While police urged the public to stay away from the area, the province of Meurthe-et-Moselle confirmed that the incident involved a civilian aircraft taking off from the Nancy-Essey air hub. According to the message shared on X, the local governor “decided to activate the departmental operations center (COD) in the presence of all operational services to ensure real-time monitoring of the incident.” Authorities have not yet shared details about the plane or possible casualties, but local news sources claimed there were “several” people on board. L’Est Republicain wrote that the plane was carrying a group of people for a skydiving experience.
