Tommy Robinson says he has been detained under counter-terror laws at Heathrow airport
Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has claimed he was detained by police at Heathrow airport under anti-terrorism laws.
The 43-year-old man, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, said both of his phones were seized after he was stopped under section 3 of the Counter-Terrorism Border Security Act 2019.
In his post on social media, Robinson shared photos of the documents related to his detention and claimed that he was detained for almost three hours, with his iPhone and Samsung Galaxy taken away.
He also asked his supporters to donate money to support his legal defense.

Under the 2019 law, police officers can stop, question, search and detain people they suspect are traveling with the intention of planning and carrying out hostile acts.
Robinson has hit the headlines in recent weeks following unrest in Southampton following the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak, and this week he was accused of inciting racial tensions in Belfast.
