Top snaps from the Aerial Photographer of the Year Awards

Talented photographers have captured nature in a series of breathtaking aerial shots, from mountain peaks to rainforests and glaciers to swollen rivers, shrinking lakes and running wild horses.
The winners of the International Aerial Photographer of the Year award were announced after the jury screened 1,587 entries from all over the world.
Azim Khan Ronnie took home the coveted title with a photograph showing thousands of migratory Siberian gulls feeding in India’s Yamuna Ghat.
Meanwhile, Chin Leong Teo’s Dawn Net captures a fisherman’s yellow net blooming on the water.
Kah-Wai Lin’s third row photo of Yilki is equally dramatic Horses waving on the dusty plateau at sunset in Cappadocia, Türkiye.
The photo of the year was awarded to Vitaly Golovatyuk’s photo in which he captured a bird sitting in the water of a clear lake reflecting the sky, surrounded by red grass, in Dongtai, China.
Amateurs and professionals were invited to the competition, where the use of artificial intelligence was strictly prohibited.
Aerial photos of the winners will be published along with the top 101 entries in the annual awards book, and the overall winner will take home $5,000 and a prize.
