Toyah Cordingley’s killer sentenced to 25 years in prison

The man who killed 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley on a remote beach north of Cairns has been jailed for at least 25 years.

On Monday, former hospital nurse Rajwinder Singh was found guilty of murder, seven years after the 24-year-old pharmacy worker’s body was found at Wangetti Beach in northern Queensland.

Judge Lincoln Crowley handed down the sentence for the 41-year-old defendant in the Cairns Supreme Court on Tuesday, following a four-week retrial of the man who was extradited from India to face the charge.
