Traffic Restrictions Announced for Nampally Exhibition

Hyderabad: Police on Wednesday announced a series of traffic restrictions and diversions on the occasion of the 85th All India Industrial Fair scheduled to be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally. To ensure smooth traffic regulation and public safety, the restrictions will be in place between 16:00 and midnight every day from January 1 to February 15, 2026.

According to the notice, RTC regional buses, private buses and heavy vehicles coming from SA Bazaar and Jambagh towards Nampally will be diverted from MJ Market to Abids junction. Similarly, vehicles approaching from Police Control Room and Basheer Bagh will be directed towards Abids via AR Petrol Pump and BJR Statue.

Heavy and medium motor vehicles traveling from Begum Bazar Chatri towards Malakunta will be diverted to Darusalam and Ek Minar from Alaska junction, while those coming from Darusalam (Goshamahal Road) to Afzalgunj or Abids will be diverted to Begum Bazar, City College and Nayapool from Alaska junction. Vehicles, including RTC buses planning to reach Nampally from Moosa Bowli and Bahadurpura, will be diverted from City College to Nayapool and MJ Market.

Passengers have been advised to avoid MJ Market-Gandhi Bhavan-Nampally junction during restricted hours and use alternative routes. Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to use public transportation, such as RTC buses and Metro Rail services, which will operate until 23.30 on weekdays and until midnight on weekends and public holidays.

Police also warned visitors not to cross roads near the exhibition area and advised them to use Gandhi Bhavan Metro Bridge and metro lifts or elevators for safe passage. Citizens were asked to cooperate with the traffic police on duty during the fair.
