Tragedy as man found dead near popular waterfront in UK seaside town | UK | News

A man was found dead after emergency services rushed to the popular seaside town in England. Emergency services were called to Newgate Gap in Margate at around 11.27am today (April 13) “over concerns for the welfare of a man”.
The 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Kent Police said his relatives had been informed. The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious. Police cordoned off an area along Ethelbert Crescent leading to Queen’s Court and the road leading to the beach. A spokesman for the force said: “Kent Police were called to concerns for the welfare of a man in Newgate Gap, Margate, at 11.27am on Monday, April 13.
“Police crews, along with the South East Ambulance Service, attended the incident and a 53-year-old man was pronounced dead.
“Relatives have been informed. The death is considered not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
