Tragedy at sea as 18-year-old student Anna Kepner dies aboard Carnival Cruise Ship

A young woman was found dead on a cruise ship.

Anna Kepner, 18, was traveling from: Miami He was on his way to the Caribbean on the Carnival Horizon ship when he died suddenly.

While official details regarding the cause of death have not been released, his death is currently under investigation by the FBI.

Ms. Kepner’s family described her as a high-achieving student who was enthusiastic about joining the military and was known for her bright personality and love of life.

“When he walked into a room, he would light up the room. If you were sad, he would make you laugh. He would joke around and be the funniest little person in school,” his family told ABC News.

They said she loved helping her community, was a competitive cheerleader and gymnast, and recently earned her scuba diving certification and boater’s license.

Carnival Cruise Line released a statement saying it was “focused on supporting our guest’s family and cooperating with the FBI.”

18-year-old student expected to do to graduate May and her community said they hope she will be remembered for her optimism, kindness and relentless energy.

In a sad development, in the months before the tragic incident, Kepner had posted on his TikTok account saying how much he wanted to go on another cruise ship.

She posted a video of her previous cruise vacation with the caption, “I want to go back.”

The ship returned to Miami on Saturday.
