A tragic discovery was made near a primary school in Willenhall on Tuesday morning (February 3). The body of a man, whose name has not yet been released, was found on Delamere Road, less than a mile from New Invention Infant School.

A police cordon was established in the residential area and footage from the scene showed two police cars parked inside. West Midlands Police said an investigation had been launched into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: Birmingham Live: “We were called by the West Midlands Ambulance Service at around 7.25am following the death of a man in Delamere Road, Willenhall.

“An investigation is ongoing to determine exactly what happened.

“Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 610 of February 3.”
