John Fetterman shows off 20 stitches after hospital discharge following ‘ventricular fibrillation flare-up’
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman revealed that he received 20 stitches after falling near his home two days ago. It was caused by what his office described as an exacerbation of a heart-related problem.
The senator appeared to be in good spirits as he shared a photo of his injuries with a smile in a social media post on Saturday afternoon.
The spokesman previously said that the Democratic senator exacerbation of ventricular fibrillationwhich caused him to feel dizzy and fall to the ground.
Fetterman, 56, was released from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center on Saturday and is happy to be home with his wife and children, he said.
“After 20 stitches and a full recovery, I am returning home. [Gisele Fetterman] and children,” Fetterman in question. “I’m overwhelmed [and] I sincerely appreciate all the good wishes.”

He added that he was “grateful” to the UPMC staff and the “incredible medical care that put me back together.”
On Thursday, Fetterman’s spokesman said the senator fell near his home in Braddock while taking an early morning walk.
“He was very carefully transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh,” the statement said. “Upon evaluation, it was determined that Senator Fetterman had an exacerbation of ventricular fibrillation that caused him to feel dizzy, fall to the ground, and hit his face with minor injuries.”
Adding some relief, Fetterman was quoted by the spokesperson as saying: “If you thought my face looked bad before, wait until you see it now!”

Many of her followers wished her a speedy recovery, but a handful took the opportunity to accuse her of voting to take away healthcare from millions of Americans.
Democratic members of Congress had been pushing for an extension of the Affordable Care Act’s COVID-19 pandemic-era tax credits for health insurance marketplaces as part of the reopening deal, but the provisions were not included in the legislation.
Fetterman has faced multiple health challenges in recent years, including a stroke he suffered while campaigning for a Senate seat in 2022.
