According to the report, Laughton received explicit images from his former close associate, Lindsay Groves, 40, of Hudson, New Hampshire, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison earlier this month.

Groves, who previously pleaded guilty to three counts of child sexual abuse and one count of distribution of child pornography, worked at the Creative Minds daycare in neighboring Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, according to a statement from the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
Between May 2022 and June 2023, Groves took multiple photographs of prepubescent children in a private bathroom during routine diaper and diaper changes before bedtime, authorities said.
Stacie Marie Laughton was sentenced to 33 years in prison.
Groves then sent the photos to Laughton via text message, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
A forensic analysis of Laughton and Groves’ cell phones revealed more than 10,000 text messages sent between the two over a one-month period in 2023.

Authorities said Lindsay Groves used her position at the day care to take illegal photos, which were then shared with Laughton.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed that all of the children in the case have been identified and that law enforcement has contacted their families.
