Travis Kelce accused of cashing in on his lavish Taylor Swift wedding as he cheekily references nuptials in new ad: ‘Nothing says happily ever after like a paid sponsorship’

Accusations of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding fraud have intensified after the NFL player appeared to cash in on their lavish wedding.

The 36-year-old Grammy winner and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 36, said ‘I do’ in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden earlier this month to intense public attention.

Just days after the ceremony, Kelce appeared in a commercial for Accelerator Active Energy that cheekily referenced her wedding.

The sports star is the co-owner and ambassador of the brand, which offers zero-sugar energy drinks.

One of the photos showed Kelce looking over his shoulder with a small smile while holding a can of drink in his hand.

It had the words ‘Happily’ written on it. Without stopping. It said ‘Later’ at the top.

The next slide showed an older model red truck with the words ‘Just Married’ written on the back and energy drink cans hanging from its rear bumper.

The image depicted a busy street in New York and was apparently a reference to the location of Swift and Kelce’s wedding.

The post was titled: ‘The love story continues. CONGRATULATIONS @killatrav!!!’

While social media users flocked to Reddit to share their thoughts on the ad, some called it ’embarrassing’.

One wrote: ‘At this rate they make 1000% money off their eventual child. It will make kids on family YouTube channels look normal by comparison.’

Another wrote: ‘Sticky. Everything about them is so crass’ and one Reddit user wrote: ‘Nothing says happily ever after like a paid sponsorship.’

One simply added: ‘Yes’, while another shared: ‘How much money is enough money?’

Someone also asked: ‘Is this real???’ he said. How shameful.”

Another commented: ‘This all sounds so dystopian and weird. Are they going much further than people expected? ‘I keep expecting this to be a PR stunt or satire, this is so awful.’

One noted that the images appeared to be authored by AI and said: ‘But the street signs are a clear sign that it is AI.

‘One Direction sign with arrows in both directions? The garbled, nonsensical text on the green sign below that? And the reflection on the bumper looks like Kansas, *not* Manhattan.’

But others also supported Kelce and Swift, with one fan writing in the comments section of the Instagram post: “I LOVED THIS.”

‘Oh this is so sweet congratulations t and t,’ one said and another wrote: ‘Congratulations! ‘What a day of celebration for everyone who loves Travis and Taylor!’

The Daily Mail has reached out to Kelce and Swift’s representatives for comment but has yet to hear back.
