The inhabitants demanded an answer after a tree fell and ate a girl, crushed death in a park in Southend yesterday. Southend-on-Sea Municipal Assembly (SCC) is asked questions, the locals claim that it was even established under the benches and the tree was supported by the poles. Dean Bailey said on social media: “Instead of supporting, it must have been cut.” Meanwhile, Mimi Faria added: “This branch must have been cut instead of taking advantage of a pole to hold it. Council leader Daniel Cowan said in a statement last night: “The death of a child is devastating and deepest, the most sincere condolences to the child’s family and friends. My thoughts are with the wounded children and the scene.
“This was a traumatic event for those involved, witnesses and emergency services. I encourage the affected support to get support.”
