Tripura Minister labels news media as an obstacle for Panchayat representatives

Tripura Higher Education and Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman defined the news media as one of the obstacles faced by Panchayat representatives in fulfilling their duties. He even suggested that groups within his own party could contribute to these difficulties.

Mr. Barman made these statements at the opening of the two -day Panchayati Raj Capacity Construction program at the State Panchayat Source Center in Ad Nagar on Monday. The Minister called on the elected Panchayat representatives to fulfill their responsibilities for the welfare of the people and reminded them that they should take time for organizational activities as well as their regular work.
