Trump announces White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles diagnosed with ‘early stage’ breast cancer

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was diagnosed with breast cancer.

President Donald Trump announced the news via a Truth Social post on Monday.

“Susie Wiles is an incredible Chief of Staff, a wonderful person, and one of the strongest people I know, but unfortunately she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and decided to take on the challenge IMMEDIATELY rather than wait,” the president wrote. ‘He has a great medical team and his prognosis is excellent!’

Trump said Wiles, 68, will continue to work in his high-powered job at the White House while he receives treatment.

‘He will spend almost all of his time in the White House during his treatment, which makes me very happy as President!’ he said.

‘His Strength and Determination to continue doing what he loves and does so well while receiving treatment tells you everything you need to know about him,’ the President added.

Wiles has become an indispensable member of Trump’s inner circle and led the 2024 campaign to victory.

He is known for running the White House better than during Trump’s turbulent first term.

tricks he told the New York Times He said he informed Trump of his diagnosis after learning last week.

‘Last week I was diagnosed with breast cancer,’ she told the Daily Mail.

‘Almost one in eight women in the United States will face this diagnosis,’ she said. ‘Every day, these women continue to raise their families, work and serve their communities with strength and determination.’

“I join their ranks now,” Wiles said.

“I am grateful to have an outstanding team of doctors who detected cancer early and guided my care, and I am encouraged by a strong prognosis,” she continued. ‘I am also deeply grateful for President Trump’s support and encouragement while I received treatment and continued in my current role.’

He did not disclose what his treatment would entail.

Shortly after Trump sent out the Truth Social post announcing his diagnosis, Wiles was seen wearing a pink jacket symbolizing breast cancer awareness and sitting next to the President.

A chair and place card for Wiles was added shortly before the event began.

While Trump updated reporters on the Iran war at the start of a luncheon for Trump Kennedy Center board members, he did not immediately draw attention to his cancer diagnosis.

The president then returned to the renamed Trump Kennedy Center and continued a story about Republican Rep. Neal Dunn nearly dying from ‘fatal’ heart disease until White House doctors stepped in.

Trump shocked House Speaker Mike Johnson, who was sitting on the other side of the President, by announcing Dunn’s initial prediction: “He’ll be dead by June.”

‘Okay, this wasn’t public but yeah, okay.’

After this, the President turned his attention to Wiles, calling him ‘a great person and a great fighter’.

“And he announced he was having a little difficulty,” he acknowledged.

Trump said Wiles would be “doing well” and “will be around for a long time.”

‘He’s been given a diagnosis, as you’ve probably seen, and he’ll take care of it immediately rather than waiting. “Let’s do it now,” he said. “I said, ‘Do it now,’ because with the inconvenience in question, the quicker the better,” Trump said. ‘That’s all I know about it. The faster the better.’

The President said Wiles had begun treatment.

‘And he’ll be in great shape. “The prognosis there is excellent, beyond excellent,” he added.

Trump referred to Wiles as ‘one of my closest and most important advisors’ in his Truth Social post.

He complimented her toughness and applauded her for being ‘deeply committed to serving the American People.’

‘Soon it will be better than ever!’ Trump said.

‘Melania and I are here for her in every way and look forward to working with Susie on the many great and wonderful things happening for the benefit of our Country!’ Trump added.
