Donald Trump appeared to barely muster enough energy to exit Air Force One following his weekend arrival at Mar-a-Lago.
Despite Trump’s claims that he is the “healthiest president,” the president has faced increasing scrutiny over his health as Americans point out his public missteps, apparent physical limitations, discolored hands and swollen ankles.
But a video circulating on He appears to waddle through the plane’s exit before carefully descending the stairs, even stopping for a brief rest in the middle of the road.
“Yesterday, Trump had a really hard time getting into position to sit in the chair. This morning, I saw video of him walking down the stairs on AF1; not only did he grab the railing for balance, but he also stopped halfway and paused. He’s definitely been rickety and unsteady lately,” said one user of the video, which went viral on Saturday.
“Wow! Trump looks really old, tired, and disheveled; he can barely walk down the stairs of Air Force One!” someone else noted.
“Trump can barely get off the plane. The stress of the war in Iran is aging him fast,” a third user added. This development comes after President Trump had visibly difficulty lowering himself into the chair during a ceremony Friday morning.
Trump appeared to hold the table with both hands and twisted into an awkward-looking position before finally sitting down.
His face contorted as if bending his knees was causing discomfort.
The president’s official schedule shows he plans to spend the weekend and part of Monday in Florida, then travel to Tennessee and return to the White House on Monday.
The trip comes as Americans grapple with rising prices of gasoline, beef and electricity. The president’s numerous weekends away from the White House have sparked criticism from various quarters.
