Trump blasted for ‘appalling’ behaviour towards Volodymyr Zelensky | US | News

The US President has been labeled “disgraceful” after what appeared to be a “public swipe” at the President of Ukraine this week. The alleged incident occurred after he arrived in France for the G7 Summit, where world leaders gathered for discussions.
Footage has emerged showing Donald Trump entering a room, and many believe it reveals a lot about his attitude towards Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This episode follows another gaffe the President allegedly committed earlier in the week.
Now Euan MacDonald has pointed out another moment at the G7 Summit that observers thought was quite revealing. “Zelensky seems a bit bemused as Trump continues to greet other G7 leaders at today’s summit in France while Zelensky ignores him,” he wrote on Tuesday.
He later posted a video of world leaders entering a room; Trump almost appeared to turn his back on Zelensky. While Zelensky appears in the background, he continues to shake hands with others, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Although the full content is unknown, the images sparked significant controversy. Indeed, hundreds of people have since interacted with the post.
One of them said: “Trump is a rude 80-year-old man. He is an absolute embarrassment to the USA.”
Another added: “He always acts like he’s the host in the room – how arrogant.”
A third replied: “Let’s get this straight! Trump is a very ignorant man who only cares about his own vanity.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “It didn’t look like he was ignoring her. He was actively ignoring her.”
Another noted: “Trump still believes he’s the boss. Clown.”
But while some online observers described the behavior as “appalling,” others suggested there may be more to the story, pointing to photos showing Trump speaking with Zelensky. Some have suggested alternative explanations for why the event might have unfolded the way it did.
One person wrote: “They came after each other so they probably met before going in.”
Another suggested: “They arrived together. They probably greeted each other before entering the room.”
Another said: “Zelensky followed her into the room. He could have greeted her before going in. Just a thought.”
