Benjamin Netanyahu returns to the White House holding all the cards in Gaza talks in Washington. The joint attack on Iran has made the Israeli Prime Minister a strong position because it shook the possibility of a Trump -mediated ceasefire agreement.

Netanyahu and Donald Trump have a complex personal relationship – and Trump was clearly disappointed to him last month during his efforts to negotiate with Iran – but the United States has fulfilled an important objective for Israeli war planners since Iran launched a bombing run against the nuclear program.

The observers said that Netanyahu came to Washington in a strong political position, and potentially gave him a diplomatic cover that would need to end the war in Gaza without encountering a rebellion from the right supporters who could lead to the collapse of his government.
