US President Donald Trump attacked Sir Keir Starmer again on Wednesday, in a brutal parody of the Prime Minister. Trump briefly mentioned King Charles’ upcoming visit to the United States this month and then quickly turned to Keir Starmer, whom Trump had previously criticized for his response to the Iran war. Trump imitated Keir Starmer and said in a weak tone that Britain could not send British forces to the region.

The US president said Britain had asked whether it could send “two old, worn-out aircraft carriers” to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said he responded as follows: “You are the Prime Minister, I said there is no need for this.” According to Trump, Starmer then said: “No, no, no, I’ve got to ask my team. My team needs to meet. We’ll meet next week.”

Trump continued: “And I said, ‘Emmanuel, even though we’re breaking records in taking out bad people and ballistic missiles, we’d love to get some help in the Gulf. We’d love to get some help. If you can, can you please send a ship right now?'” Trump continued.

He then put on a fake French accent to give Macron’s supposed response: “‘No no no, we can’t do that, Donald. We can do it after the war is won.’

“And I said, ‘No no, I don’t need Emmanuel after the war is won.’

“So I learned about NATO; if we have the big one NATO won’t be there, you know what I mean by ‘big’.”

Trump attacked NATO allies for not joining the war against Iran. He said the United States “has some very bad allies in NATO.”

He added: “We spent trillions of dollars on NATO when we needed it, which we never do. We didn’t need them here either. To be honest, I was really asking because I wanted to see what they would do. We’ve gone through Iran and the last thing I needed was NATO to get in our way because they’re a piper tiger.”

The conflict with Iran began on February 28, when US and Israeli forces launched coordinated airstrikes on targets in Iran.

The Strait of Hormuz, a key passage through which approximately 20 percent of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas passes, has been effectively blocked by the war.
