Writing on Truth Social, Mr Trump angrily said: “Iran decided to fire bullets into the Strait of Hormuz yesterday; This is a Complete Violation of our Armistice Agreement! Many were targeting a French Ship and a Freighter from the UK.”
“That wasn’t nice, was it? My representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan. They will be there tomorrow evening for negotiations.
“Iran recently announced that they are closing the Strait, which is very strange, because our Blockade has already closed it. They are helping us without knowing it, and they are the ones who lose with the closed passage, 500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are now going to the USA, Texas, Louisiana and Alaska to load compliments of the Revolutionary Guard and always say ‘tough guy!’ He aspires to be.”
The US president then issued a chilling threat to Iran, warning that “There will be no more Mr. Nice Guy.”
He continued: “We are offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL and I hope they accept it, because if they don’t, the United States will disable every Power Plant and every Bridge in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!
“They will fall quickly, they will fall easily, and if they do not accept the DEAL, it would be my honor to do to Iran what other presidents have had to do to Iran for the last 47 years.
“IT IS TIME TO END THE IRANIAN KILLING MACHINE! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
This came just hours after Iran harshly criticized the US embargo on its ports, calling it a “stupid and stupid decision” and demanding that it be reversed.
Iran quickly reversed course on reopening the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, reimposing restrictions on the critical waterway after the United States said the move would not end the blockade.
Mohammed Bagher Galibaf, one of Iran’s chief negotiators, warned that if the USA does not lift the blockade, “traffic in the Strait of Hormuz will definitely be restricted.”
The speaker of Iran’s parliament also spoke about his decision to reverse the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in a televised speech.
