Trump issues stern 12-word warning to Iran as WW3 fears skyrocket | World | News

As fears about the possibility of a devastating World War 3 outbreak reached alarming levels, Donald Trump issued another big warning to Iran. President Trump issued a chilling 12-word warning when asked if he knew of any executions as the death toll continues to rise.
The president had previously warned the Islamic regime that he would take military action if they harmed protesters. At least 2,000 protesters have been killed in Iran since then. Trump promised that the United States would take “very strong actions” if the “red line” was crossed.
Issuing a stern warning, President Trump said it “will not end well” if the allegations that protesters were hanged are true.
Speaking to CBS while touring a Ford factory in Detroit on Tuesday, Trump said, “I haven’t heard of them being executed, if there are any. If they do something like that, we will take very strong action.”
CBS’s Tony Dokoupil asked, “And we’re talking about this powerful action, what’s the endgame?” he asked.
Trump responded: “If they want to protest, that’s one thing. When they start killing thousands of people – now you’re talking to me about the death penalty – we’ll see how that works out for them. It’s not going to end well.”
His remarks came after reports from rights groups claiming that the Iranian government plans to execute the first protester on Wednesday for his alleged role in the nationwide demonstrations.
Norway-based Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported that Erfan Soltani, a resident of Fardis near Tehran, may be the first person sentenced to death in the ongoing crackdown on protesters.
The organization added that Soltani’s family was only informed of the decision on Monday and that information about both the charges and judicial proceedings were denied.
In a message to Iranians on Truth Social earlier today, Trump said “help is on the way” and called on demonstrators to continue their protests and “take over institutions.”
It remains unclear what Mr Trump meant when he said “help is on the way”, but White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters yesterday (January 12) that airstrikes were among “many options” the president was considering, while emphasizing that diplomacy “is always the first option”.
