Trump makes bombshell statement on ‘nuke attack against Iran’ | World | News

Donald Trump attacked a reporter when asked about the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Iran. The President attended a televised White House meeting on Thursday evening called the “Health Care Affordability Event.”

Sitting behind his desk in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump discussed the deal with the regime as well as the conflict in Iran, including the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Answering reporters’ questions, Mr. Trump was asked whether he would strike Iran with nuclear weapons, a question he quickly dismissed.

The US President replied: “No, I wouldn’t. Why would I need it? Why would such a stupid question be asked?”

He said: “Why would I use nuclear weapons when we have, very convincingly, destroyed most of them? Nuclear weapons should never be allowed to be used by anyone.”

Earlier on Thursday, Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social: “Iran’s Navy lies at the bottom of the Sea, its Air Force is destroyed, its Anti-Aircraft and Radar Guns are gone, its leaders are no longer with us, the Blockade is airtight and strong and from then on it gets worse – Time is not on their side!”

Trump, who has denied using nuclear weapons against Iran, continues to threaten the regime with conventional force, saying US forces are “locked and loaded.”

He said: “We have never had so much ammunition; our ships are full.”

Mr. Trump extended a two-week ceasefire with Iran earlier this week and said he was in no rush to reach a deal with the country.

Following the ceasefire announcement, Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz, an important waterway for oil and gas tankers. However, after Trump said that the US blockade would not end during the ceasefire, the regime started to block the passage of ships again.
