KTR Demands Accountability Over CBSE Marks Controversy

Hyderabad: BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday expressed his support to Class 12 students who have expressed concerns over the ongoing CBSE marks debate and called for transparency and accountability in the evaluation process.
KTR praised students across the country for questioning allegations of irregularities in the evaluation system, stating that students and parents have the right to seek clarity when their academic future is at stake.
Citing reports surrounding the controversy, KTR claimed that Globarena, the company at the center of the current issue, was also associated with the Telangana Interim results controversy in 2019. He claimed that the company continued to receive large contracts despite its track record, raising new concerns.
Recalling the reaction of the then BRS government to the 2019 Interim Results issue, KTR said that a three-member committee was formed to investigate the issue, after which action was taken against the relevant officials and legal action was initiated against the company.
He also alleged that CBSE did not take into account the company’s track record and questioned how he was given responsibilities that affected a large number of students.
Holding the Union Government responsible, KTR sought clarification from the Center and the Union Ministry of Education regarding the selection of companies and handling of the issue.
Stating that students deserve transparency, justice and accountability, KTR urged CBSE and the Union Government to address students’ grievances, correct errors and ensure accountability wherever lapses exist.
