President Donald Trump’s upcoming third medical exam has raised new concerns about the commander in chief’s health and general well-being.
Trump will attend medical and dental appointments at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday, marking his third scheduled medical evaluation in 13 months. Trump visited Walter Reed for his annual physical in April 2025 and then took another trip in October for what administration officials described as a “scheduled follow-up,” sparking weeks of speculation and questions about his health and tests he may have undergone.
The White House sidestepped the questions and finally released a statement almost three months later: that the president had undergone a CT scan. This follows comments from a former Trump staffer who revealed 4 chilling predictions about what the president will do next.
Barbabella stated that the CT scan was performed to “conclusively rule out any cardiovascular problems” and did not reveal any abnormalities, the Irish Star reported.
Trump’s upcoming medical evaluation comes amid growing unease about his physical condition, following multiple incidents in which he appeared to have bruising on his right hand as well as incidents in which he appeared to fall asleep on camera during televised events.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had previously suggested that Trump’s bruised hand was consistent with “tissue damage from frequent handshakes” combined with aspirin use. However, Trump has since been photographed with bruises on both hands. The White House has repeatedly insisted that the president is in “excellent health.” The 79-year-old president faces questions comparable to those previously leveled at former President Joe Biden about whether he has the mental and physical capacity to fulfill his responsibilities as commander in chief.
Trump was uncompromising in labeling then-President Biden “Sleepy Joe” during the 2023 and 2024 campaigns, regularly drawing comparisons between his own liveliness and Biden’s.
Independent medical experts have expressed concern about whether recurring bruises on Trump’s hands, combined with his swollen legs and apparent bouts of sleepiness, could indicate a more serious underlying health problem.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about the bruising in February, and Leavitt responded: “President Trump has bruises on his hands because he works all the time and shakes hands all day, every day.” (Photo: Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images) (Image: Chip Somodevilla, Getty Images)
Many people believe that the White House’s explanations are not convincing enough.
“The White House doesn’t seem to want to acknowledge any physical ailments, but old people are having medical problems and the president is almost 80,” said Jonathan Reiner, former vice president Dick Cheney’s longtime cardiologist.
“There seems to be a lack of sincerity in the White House,” Reiner told the Washington Post.
The latest poll numbers also reveal that the number of Americans questioning the president’s health is increasing.
A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll conducted last month found that 40 percent of Americans believe Trump has the mental acuity needed to serve as president; This rate is down from 47 percent last September.
Moreover, the public’s faith in Trump’s physical health has also diminished; 44 percent of Americans believe Trump has the physical health necessary for the role; Last September, this rate was 54 percent.
This led to an alarming claim after a strange bulge was spotted in Trump’s trousers.
