Trump says doesn’t want Kurds to launch offensive against Iran

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he did not want the Kurds to launch an attack against Iran.

“We don’t expect the Kurds to come in,” he said in a briefing with reporters aboard Air Force One. “As you know, we are very friendly with the Kurds, but we do not want to make the war more complicated than it already is.”

Trump told the Reuters news agency on Thursday that he would be “completely” happy with an attack by Iranian Kurdish fighters in support of the US-Israeli war against the Islamic Republic.
