Trump says he thinks Putin ready to make a Ukraine deal

US President Donald Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that he would make an agreement and that the threat of sanction against Russia plays a role seeking a meeting in the Kremlin.

Trump is planned to meet with Putin in Alaska on Friday.

The US President said he was not sure whether the ceasefire can be obtained immediately, but expressed his interest in a peace agreement.

“I really believe that he will make an agreement, make an agreement, he will make an agreement. I think we’ll go and learn.” He said.

In the early hours of the day, Putin said that the United States made a “sincere effort” to end the war in Ukraine, and that Russia and the US could agree on a nuclear weapon agreement as part of a wider coercion to strengthen peace.

Trump also stated that during the Fox interview, a second meeting was not guaranteed, but there were three positions for a follow -up meeting with Putin and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

He said it would be the easiest scenario for a three -way summit in Alaska.

“Depending on what is happening in my meeting, I will call President Zelensky and take it to the place where we will meet.” He said.

Trump said that a second meeting, which contains Putin and Zelenskiy, will probably be more in depth on border problems.

Zelenskiy was determined not to seize the region occupied by the Russian forces.

Trump said he’d stay with Putin and Zelenskiy to make an agreement.

“I will not negotiate their agreements. I will allow them to negotiate their agreements,” he said.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Trump would enter negotiations, hoping to stop the war in Ukraine, but a comprehensive solution to the war will take longer.

Rubio told journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

“All this will be part of a comprehensive thing. But I think the hope of the President, to get the war a little stop for these conversations to take place.”

Rubio said that the wars were going on and that they were finished.

“And even when I’m talking … There are changes that have an impact on what one side of the battlefield or the other as the other. So the reality of this ongoing fight, so the ceasefire is very critical.” He said.

“But we will see what is possible tomorrow. Let’s see how the talks go. And we are hopeful. We want peace. We will do everything we can to achieve one, but ultimately accepting one will be left to Ukraine and Russia.”

Rubio said that the preparations for the meeting were “very fast” because the preparations for the meeting were brought together.

Trump said that he believed that he was talking to Putin four times and said, “Now it was important to talk to him and look at his eyes and to understand what is possible and what is not.”

He continued: “He sees the opportunity to talk about reaching peace. He will continue this and tomorrow at some point, as the President said, probably too early at this meeting, we will know whether something possible or not. I hope.”
