Trump says Iran talks proceeding in ‘orderly and constructive manner’

President Donald Trump said Sunday that talks were continuing with Iran to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but he urged his negotiating team not to rush to reach a deal.
Trump’s comments on the issue Real Social These are largely a continuation of the status quo from Saturday, when Trump said a deal with Iran was “substantially being negotiated.” Trump said “time is on our side” in his effort to end the nearly three-month conflict that has roiled global energy markets and driven up gasoline prices in the United States.
“Negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives that they should not rush to reach an agreement as long as it is on our side,” Trump said in a social media post. “Both parties should take their time and do the job right. There can be no mistakes!”
The president said the US naval blockade of Iranian ports would remain in effect “until an agreement is reached, ratified and signed.”
According to MS Now, the negotiated deal would open the Strait of Hormuz, end hostilities, release some of Iran’s assets, and guarantee further negotiations to thwart Tehran’s nuclear program.
Trump said in his Truth Social post that Iran “must understand, however, that it cannot develop or obtain a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb.”
