Trump says Israel banned from bombing Lebanon further

U.S. President Donald Trump struck an unusually harsher tone against Israel, a long-time U.S. ally, saying the U.S. has banned Israel from dropping any more bombs on Lebanon.

“Israel will no longer bomb Lebanon. It is BANNED from doing so by the USA. Enough!!!” Trump said in his social media post.

Trump also said that any deal the US reaches with Iran is “in no way tied to Lebanon” but that the US will “deal with” the militant Hezbollah situation as appropriate.

The US president also said that the US will buy nuclear material from Iran.

“No money will change hands in any way, shape or form.”

These posts by Trump came after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the passage of all commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz was “declared completely open” for the remaining period of the ceasefire.

Crushing Hezbollah “will not be achieved tomorrow,” he said in a video message released by his office.

“It requires sustained effort, patience and endurance, and it requires wise direction in the diplomatic field,” Netanyahu said. he said.
